Located just 1.6 miles north of I-635, Audubon Park is a large regional park that features both passive and active recreational opportunities for all ages including sports tournaments, a large Surf & Swim - a wave pool style aquatic facility, a Recreation Center, a Soccer Complex, Carter Softball Complex and a paved trail that links with a network of Garland trails. Named after John James Audubon, a naturalist and ornithologist, Audubon Park boasts over 100 acres of undeveloped natural areas that remains as one of Garland's hidden gems.  Audubon is also home to multiple 5K runs due to its winding, picturesque trail along Duck Creek, perfect for mix-use activity such as biking, jogging, running, and walking.
